PRO-BONO & CHARITY WORK

Dr. Kian’s philanthropic efforts began while he was in medical school, working with Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) in a border town between Iran and Afghanistan. As a fourth-year medical student, he joined a medical mission endeavor in Honduras, serving the underprivileged natives.

Later in his final year of residency, Dr. Kian’s orchestrated the pro-bono care of a young girl from Haiti with a large disfiguring facial tumor. After completing her surgery, Dr. Kian organized a multi-disciplinary effort to provide the young girl with the best possible functional and cosmetic outcome. She is currently cancer-free and enjoys a significantly improved quality of life. He considers this one of his greatest achievements.

Dr. Kian does pro-bono charity care for patients from the Venice Family Clinic, the largest free clinic in the United States, for both otolaryngological problems and facial plastic reconstructive issues.
