FACE LIFT
A facelift, also called a rhytidectomy, is a popular facial surgery procedure to restore a younger appearance by lifting and tightening facial skin, soft tissue, and muscle. People seek facelifts when they feel their appearance looks older because of sagging skin, wrinkles, fine lines, and less skin elasticity.
What is a Face Lift?
A facelift, also called a rhytidectomy, is a popular facial surgery procedure to restore a younger appearance by lifting and tightening facial skin, soft tissue, and muscle. People seek facelifts when they feel their appearance looks older because of sagging skin, wrinkles, fine lines, and less skin elasticity. Facelifts are usually the next step once medspa treatments no longer achieve a desired, more youthful look.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER
Following facelift surgery, patients typically begin the recovery at an aftercare facility or at home with the assistance of a qualified nurse. The following day, Dr. Kian examines the incisions to ensure they are beginning to heal correctly and there are no signs of infection. Once this is done, patients can recover in their own home. Between that time and one-week post-surgery, patients are checked again then return to have their stitches removed.
Most patients take up to two weeks off from work to allow the incisions to heal and swelling and bruising to diminish. At this point, makeup camouflages any leftover bruising or redness. During the initial healing, there is only slight discomfort and tightness in the neck. These issues resolve themselves within a week.
